The Congressional App Challenge welcomes volunteers from the tech community who would like to get involved by serving as judges. Volunteer judges dedicate up to 4 hours of their time, evaluating apps submitted by students from across the country to the Congressional App Challenge.
While the Members of Congress have the prerogative to select their own judges from within their constituencies, we also recruit judges on a national level for three main reasons:
- To assist Members of Congress who for whatever reason are struggling to find enough qualified judges;
- To better connect Members of the tech community with the Members of Congress; and
- To ensure that judging panels are even, representative, and well-rounded.
