Washington, DC – The Congressional App Challenge is excited to announce that ACT | The App Association has renewed its sponsorship for the 2021 Congressional App Challenge. We welcome back the App Association as they continue to aid our mission to ensure every student in America has the opportunity to spark their passion for STEM. In 2020, the Congressional App Challenge was our biggest Challenge yet, with more than 308 Members of Congress across 49 states, Puerto Rico, the Mariana Islands, and Washington, DC, participating in the program. Thousands of students registered for the 2020 Congressional App Challenge, marking an extremely successful Congressional App Challenge amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
With app makers and connected device company members in all 435 congressional districts, the App Association is a key sponsor in ensuring that the Congressional App Challenge continues to grow across the United States. In 2020, the App Association partnered with the Congressional App Challenge to host Download with Developers, a Q&A roundtable with their members for hundreds of App Challengers.
“We share the Congressional App Challenge’s mission of fostering a robust and diverse workforce that creates innovative solutions to make our lives better,” said Morgan Reed, president of the App Association. “We are proud to renew our partnership to inspire the innovators of tomorrow by connecting them with our members.”
