It’s official! With ten days remaining for students to register, over 10,000 students from 48 states have registered to take part in this year’s Congressional App Challenge. This is an incredible milestone for the program, nearly doubling last year’s record participation. With over 300 Members of Congress hosting Congressional App Challenges in their districts, more than two-thirds of American students now have the chance to code for Congress this year.
Last year, the Congressional App Challenge made headlines when it reached its 10,000th registration since the launch of the program in 2015. Since that time, the program has seen over 15,000 students register to compete in the App Challenge, making this the largest student computer science competition in the world.
